Tornado Seasion

Yesterday I heard about a tornado that hit in Aurora. More specifically, Southland Mall. My Favorite mall of all time. I miss it. I was so sad when I looked at pictures. I kept saying  things Like "No, Not Red-Brick Pizza. I loved it." and "Oh Man, Not that!" I have now lived in Colorado for 9 years and have been lucky to not ever get close enough to see one with my won eyes. At least, not until Today. The day we closed on our house last year there was one close to it. But we were still in Denver at the time.
Today Cassidy had an appt. with her dad the Dentist. She gets better every time. I was very proud of her. The boys did great too. Although all they had to do was wait quietly. After she was all done, I took them to the toy store to get a prize. The boys only got a small one of course. We were on our way home (only 1 block from the toy store) when I heard THAT sound. It is very unmistakable. It makes your heart drop when you hear it. It only took me like .02 seconds to know what it was for. A TORNADO! My eyes went right up to the sky in front of me and there it was. A twister in the sky. I looked to my right to see everyone at the gas station taking pictures of it. I then realized that it was not touching the ground yet and that my light was green and I needed to go. So my first thought of safety was Abe. Lucky for me his office is  only 3 blocks away. I was a long 3 blocks though. We went inside to wait it out. It never did touch down. Abe decided since I was there to clean my teeth. Next time I 'll take my chances with the Tornado though. A cleaning turned into a filling. I Hate getting numb. Now that the numb has worn off I can say he did a good job. It feels good and I am better off. It turned into a day of lot os surprises. Not at all what I expected.

Lucky Winner

Saturday May 30th Cassidy got to do a once in a lifetime thing. Colorado Rockies Comfort Dental Jr. starting Line Up. Not only that, But of all all the positions, She got to be the Catcher.
It all started in the locker room. She got her own jersey, hat, bag of things with lots of cool stuff in it. Then they got a tour. After, they all came out on the field. They announced the line up and put her name and  the camera on her  up on the big screen. All the kids go to run to their positions. Like I said Cassidy was the catcher. Where she got to stand right in the middle of all the stuff being passed.
you can see her pink pants. The good camera ran out of batteries. Of all the luck. At least I had the small one in my purse to catch the moment. that was the most I could zoom in though.
One lucky girl.! After the real catcher for the night came out. He signed her ball. She said "Thank you, Good Luck!"

Later during the game she was even recognized by some fans. They said "hey that's the girl in the pink pants, The catcher. Cassidy!" they even remembered her name. Crazy.

It was a great game to be at. Very Exciting at the end. The Rockies Won. GO ROCKIES!

Life around the house

Our friends the Whites have a trampoline at ground level. That means they have a big hole in the ground. They found one morning that they had a baby bunny under the tramp. It was stuck. I crawled under and saved him/her. It is so tiny. Very sweet.
The kids just love it. A little to much. I had to put him in a box high enough that they can't get into. They are begging me to keep it. Our vet at church today told me that they make good pets and you can litter box train them. I still don't want to keep it for too long. I'm hoping to let it go outside with all the other bunny's.

John just loves him/her. So does JoJo. They are the two we have to watch the most.

We have a lot of wild life all around the house. A bird has built a nest under our deck.
Lots of big bunny's eating our garden and grass.
Two ducks in the wet land right behind our house. I would guess they too are laying eggs. Add all this to the snakes and the coyote's and wow, I'm not in the city anymore.

Thats my Boy's

My boy's want to be just like their dad. Last week Abe was building a rack to dry off the wet life jackets. Who knew it took three measuring tapes for one reading.

That was just so much fun. They walked all around measuring everything. Rocks, Flowers, Bears, Bugs. Each-other etc.

Of course the posts dad was cutting got turned into a Jedi fight. Great sound effects and faces.
That worked up a appetite. One of John's fav. Doughnut holes
They finished off the morning with the drilling and staining. Its all done now. It looks great and is perfect for what we needed. Good Job Boys!

what a way to start a day

I was doing work outside. After watering the flowers, I was going to wind the hose up. I noticed this dirty bucket next to my hose and decided to rinse it out. I was not expecting to find an angry snake waiting to bite me .

I called my hero to come and save me. ( I am glad he was not at work this morning.) He did a good job.

After he made John touch it to see that is it ok. He took it away from the house to live next to some other water. I hope he stays there. I don't want to find him again.

Superman.!
