They grow up so fast

Abe was sent a funny email that had a kid in a dog kennel. He was telling me about it. The next thing we know we find our kids in here. I still find myself surprised that my kids listen to everything. Even if you think they are not around. They listen. I guess they wanted to be funny too. Maybe I don't need a babysitter. Just kidding.
It was another busy weekend. Grandpa Charlie and Grandma Deby were here. The visit was too short. We are glad they came. Cassidy cried the whole way home from the airport after droping them off on Sunday. Real Tears! It made me sad to see but also very glad. I am happy that she knows and loves her grandparents so much.
Grandma Deby helped me come up with the idea for the graduation caps for Lukes preschool Graduation. Everyone liked them. They were yummy.
I can't believe I will soon have 3 kids in school. Next year Cassidy will be in 2nd grade. Luke in kindergarten, & John in preschool 2 days a week. They grow up so fast.
Saturday we went out on the boat. It was my fist time this year getting in the water. I had my wet suite on. So it wasn't too cold. I am most proud to say though that Luke got up behind the boat on the skii trainer. He did AWSOME!. Went over bumps and everything. Never crashed. I took him around the lake and back to Abe waiting on the ramp. Abe was in the water helping Luke start. So we left him there. I felt bad that he didn't get to see the whole thing. Luke had the longest ride of the day I think. You can see Abe with his hands up in the water behind Luke. I can't believe it. He had such a great time he wanted to go again. The second time Grandpa charlie was in the water helping him start and Abe was in the boat. Again he did awsome. I might have a future pro here. He is only 5 years old. GO LUKE!! I am your #1 fan! Always and Forever.

Funny problems

Cassidy has just learned that her outfits from her Build a bears fit on her dog. Poor Sweetheart. She now get to be a part of the dress ups. It is funny.
Today was mothers day as I'm sure everyone knows. I felt very loved. After church I was allowed a nap as a mothers gift. It was very nice. After however I was still laying down watching TV with Abe when Luke walked in. At first all I could see was his head. I noticed it had yellow all over it. When I asked him why he smiled real big and proudly showed me his shirt. He painted his own picture of Ben 10.  How did he get that idea?  This is why moms don't get naps. Even with dad's home.

Car Wash

The summer is here. We are loving the warm days. I need to do better at remembering to put sunscreen on the kids though. Its is getting hard to get them to come inside. At least the messes are outside now. Just the other day, They were playing on the play set. Cassidy had a cherry soda. John decided to pour it down the slide. Then Luke and John thought it was funny to try and give themselves a red butt. Watching them try to look at their own butts was like watching a dog chase his own tail. Funny!. Then they went and got about 6 bottles of water to try and wash the red off. Why they passed the hose I don't know. This led them to find out how wet, slippery, and muddy the grass and the bottom of the slide was. Naturally that led right into a longer muddier end to the slide. Boys will be boys I guess.
I decided that they get to start cleaning up their own messes. Yes, this takes longer and is almost more work for me in the end.  Like this car wash. A couple of months ago they drove the car into the back yard where they washed it with mud. It of course dried and since the  weather was still too cold, was put away like that. So, they got to give the car a real car wash. I might of used too much soap. It made a lot of bubbles. When John stuck his whole arm in the bucket it came out covered in bubbles. He then tried to wipe his eyes. Bad idea. Bubbles in the eyes hurt. The only quick way to get them off was to spray him with hose. He didn't mind that at all. After that he started doing it on purpose. Well, not in the eyes again but all over the face.

See how wet and funny he thinks he is. After the car was washed many times I found the little shamWows and let them dry the car. Abe fell into the idea and bought the "deal" off the TV. He is not impressed. So I let the boys get some use out of them. When they were all done they were soaking wet. I made them strip down to the undies / diaper and lay in the sun for a bit. I guess they had too much fun because today they escaped outside with out my knowledge, turned on the hose, had a water fight. then tried to walk up the dirt hill before sneaking back inside. I caught them in the garage before they could enter the house. I'm glad I did. Mudd and grass was stuck to them so thick I couldn't wipe them off. I had to spray it off. They didn't mind once again. Laughing the whole time.
I feel sorry for the moms with more then 2 boys. How do they do it. Every day is something new.  It's like one bad idea turns into an even worse one with the brothers help. What will they think of next?

Music Program

As the School years comes to an end, Life gets real busy. I feel like the school suddenly try to cram as much as they can in this last month.  My calendar looks crazy. We have all sorts of school events, Birthday partys, Field trips, Rockies games, and some how we work in the boat fun and yard work. The inside of my house seems to be getting ignored.
Yesterday was a music program. I love that her school has one. It was so cute. Cassidy did so well. She was singing and playing music. I couldn't help but notice how one boy was doing all he could to make a funny face with every word he sang. He was talented with he facial expressions.  There is one in every school event.

Our family except Abe. He is taking the picture.

After the program was over, Abe took us out for some YUMMY grub. John got a fun drink with an umbrella in it. On the way home he kept saying it was raining in the car and I guess that tiny thing was keeping his head dry. What a funny little boy.

Goodbye Winter, Hello Summer!

These pictures are a couple weeks old. It was a great weekend. Dad, Andy, The Boys, and I decided to go out on the boat on April 10th.  The water temp was in the 40's and the air temp was in the 50's. It was Friggin COLD! Amber said I looked like a Ninja Turtle with my Neo Hood on.

Check out this BUTTER!!

Then the next day we went Snowboarding up at Winter Park.  Check out my little Ripper!

Here is the whole crew (minus Amber, who is behind the camera) on the kid slope ready to tear it up/

Another Snack for preschool

Luke has been learning about Polar Bears, Penguins, and Ocean life. He had snack the other week. I brought a polar bear face snack. It was easy, cute and healthy. Luke was sad though. He wanted to bring the penguins. Lucky for him, A storm rolled into town. It canceled the zoo trip for Friday. Mrs Karen heard Luke wanted to bring penguins instead and said he could bring them on Friday since there was not an assigned snack. Hurray! (I think). I always enjoy making such fun food. Sometimes in the middle I wonder what I was thinking. At least now I know where the stores are for hard to find items. Each time is getting easier.
These were Oh - So - Cute. There were 7 penguins, 4 Ice bergs and One bucket filled with the catch of the day Fish and the last Penguin pulling it in with a string.
Once again, It was not my idea, I am just good at finding the recipes I want.

Warning! Black takes a while to come off the skin.
Cassidy was at the table while I was cutting the items for the Penguins, She stared using my extra scraps and put this together all by her self. She has a great imagination. I was very proud of her.

Easter Suday

It was very normal to expect the kind of Easter we had here in Colorado.  Although it was nice weather just before. The Cold came just in time. We had to have our hunt inside. The kids had just as much fun. In fact, there are more hiding places inside. We thought they found them all, But our builder (Chuck, The one finishing the basement) found some for for us for 2 more days. I think Abe did a little too good.

When we found a little break in the rain and wind, We still did our traditional egg roll. This year we rolled them down the slide. They went far. Afterwards, they decided to to have an egg bounce contest off of the trampoline. That was as long as we could handle outside. Too COLD! So it was back inside for a little fun. We did Egg Race with the egg on a spoon. That had us all laughing. Especially when Abe jumped out behind the kids. Scared them both (Luke & Cassidy) they both dropped their eggs at the same time & cried "DAAAAAADD! Sad but Funny!  Every person here had a turn. We have some cheaters in this family. But some memories to last.
I am glad we had family in town this year to share them.
