Sunday afternoon

It seems to be turning into a weekly thing for us. We enjoy going to Estes Park and hike around. Last Sunday we went with our friends the Whites. We love them. Instead of going to the water falls, we went to a Lake. It was a great hike.  Lots of more beautiful Pictures. but these are two of my favorite. For obvious reasons. I captured Abe's face perfectly when he was coming out of the bathroom. Too bad he took John in on his back. Poor kid.

the days are going to fast

It was another beautiful day on Boyd Lake. Although the weather was chilly. Abe talked me into going out for a quick run after we dropped Luke & Cassidy off at school. Luke was upset when he got home and found out that we went out without him. He threw himself down and cried. I felt bad. Abe wanted to show how tuff he was and went out with out his wet suit. I am willing to bet that is the last time this yr he will do that.
I on the other hand  knew better. I had a great time! I was glad he talked me into it.  Check out that water. Mirror.!!!!

The kids found the board in the closet and wanted to see how they grew since last time. like weeds.

Estes Park with Grandpa

I know this is a bit late. I finally decided to listen to all my girlfriends telling me about the Twilight books. Of course I cant seem to put it down. It is really making me tired because the best time for me to read it after the rest of my house is asleep. So it is very common for me to be up til 2:30am. I flew through the 2nd one. It only took me 2 days to finish. I am not a fast reader so that is amazing for me. I even cried while reading it. which also is a first for me. I feel emotions during other book but have not had real tears before. So if there is someone out there who has not read them yet (not likely. I'm slow)  I would reccomnd it!
anywho, Yes I am that short. next to my dad. Just like Abe. We pulled over for a while to watch a couple of herds of Elk.
That is my funny kido's being Elk
We then went on another hike to the waterfall. Grandpa raced the kids so a mile hike only took us about 15 min. Thats good for a 4 yr old.  But he was too tired on the way back and Dad had to carry both.
This is one of Abe's beautiful picture. He just might have a future in this.

All I want for Christmas is my 2 front teeth.

"Paca" (Grandpa Jon) Is here to have fun with us. Saturday we got to go play a round of 18 holes. Its been 6 yrs since I last played. It is not like riding a bike. I did not do very well but I had a great time. This evening while enjoying the time we have together, Grandpa went & got a blanket to play a game he played as a child and of course so did I. It is fun. I have done It with my kids before but not for a while.
It is very simple. Sit down on a blanket and we tie them in it. Then they try to get out. Even my kids enjoy it. Here is hoping the game will live on to my grandkids.
We even tried 3 at once.
Luke got to make a paper Luke for Preschool. Brandy and I helped but he did it. I like it. He did a good job. Candy corn hair. Curly pasta eye brows, 1/2 woppper eyes, Good n plenty  ear, Button nose, Licorice mouth. Stripes on his shirt. Looks good!
Cassidy now has 2 missing teeth. First this one. and just a few minutes later the other.  Her teeth were sooooo lose. She was wiggling them with air. Turning them sideways like this one. YUCK!
All clean and ready for bed. Excited to Show Miss Minnus at school tomorrow.

"You Millers ARE Hardcore!"

So we decided to go out on the boat on Monday for Family home evening. Only problem was that the weather was cold!!

The water was luckily warmer than the air. 50 deg air, 54 deg water.
I couldn't keep my boys out of the water! Future pro wakeboarders!

Even Cassidy got in. It took some convincing but she had fun.

Before we started, one of my neighbors saw us and stopped by the dock, he was shocked and is only comment was "Wow you guys are hardcore!", hence my post title.

Peach Time!

This is the time of year we as a family get to making goodies. Normally we would be picking strawberries for some home made jam and apples for the best applesauce. Due to bad crops and earliy freezes we can't do either. So we decide to try something new. Peaches! boy are they yummy!. Just look at Cassidy. She is eating and helping her brother pick more for her to eat.
Daddy (Abe) of course is the best picker. Her reaches all the ones way high.
Look at how many her got when they tried to tell us we wouldn't he able to.
It took a while to to get into it with us. He was mad because I made him wear shoes. When he found out how Yummy they were he wouldn't stop eating either.
This is a family tradition. Thanks grandpa Charlie for starting that with the easter eggs. Like father like son.

Our little "Sweethart".  Maybe some day I'll be able to explain this story to you all.

Even a dog can stop and smell the flowers.

Kids First Games

One of the many events that we did when Grandpa Charlie, Grandma Deby, & Laura were here. THank you to Laura for being behind the camera for this one. They got to be a part of our kids first ever baseball game.
Of course we were HOOKED UP thanks Comfort Dental. Like always. Our kids first game was in the Comfort suite. As if that wasn't enough, John Picks front row of course. He is Loving every minute.
During the 5th inning, Dingo comes up for a Visit. Thanks to the national democratic convection, he was a little late. So many people. John is a little tired of waiting.
Luke got his bat signed from Dinger.
The game went into overtime. Grandma was a good fan sporting the "rally cap"
John enjoying another ice cream.
thanks to an awesome home run. We won!!
All done?
